Adult Chancel Choir

The Adult Chancel Choir gives choir members the opportunity for personal growth and development of their vocal and musical skills. The Chancel Choir also provides leadership in worship and communicates to the worshiper by creating music that enhances the worship experience, and witnesses to the love, power and grace of God.

The Adult Chancel Choir at Advent Lutheran Church is open to all adult singers, college age and up. We rehearse and sing great works of sacred choir literature of all styles and periods. Be a part of this diverse and friendly community of musicians and experience a sense of achievement and purposefulness. Rehearsals are every Thursday evening from 7:30 PM to 9:15 PM in the choir room. No audition is necessary. CHOIR POSITIONS AVAILABLE ! POSITIONS OPEN IN SOPRANO, ALTO, TENOR & BASS … NO OTHERS NEED APPLY… PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to carry light musical notes part way across the sanctuary. Must have sufficient vision to see the director. EXPERIENCE: No applications will be accepted from persons who have not hummed, whistled or sung in the shower or bathtub at some time. BEGINNING WAGE: Increased satisfaction and joy in the service of God. FRINGE BENEFITS: Social security! We promise you the security of social fellowship with other choir members. HOURS: Thursday evening from 7:30 PM to 9:15 PM, beginning on Thursday, September 7 AND various times on Sunday mornings. There is an occasional opportunity for overtime.
