Sunday Morning Fellowship
Christian fellowship is very important to the people of Advent. This is a time for members, guests, friends and family to gather and enjoy conversation, coffee, tea and donuts following each Sunday morning worship service. The Community Connections Fellowship Team coordinates this fellowship function.
Food and Fellowship Group
The Food and Fellowship groups are organized for members to build lasting relationships and enjoy Christian fellowship in an informal setting. Groups meet in individual homes on a monthly basis. In addition to being a social group, the Food and Fellowship Group sponsor an annual event for fund raising for special projects. In the past, this group has raised money for new microphones, stacking chairs, a new church sign, round tables and a room divider. Everyone is welcome to join this fun and vibrant group.
Women's Luncheon
The women of Advent host an annual Women's Luncheon. This is a special time of fellowship and an opportunity to honor a woman selected by the women of Advent for the Mary Francis Cressman Award. This award was set up in 1989 following the death of Mary Francis Cressman, who exemplified a willing heart and spirit for service to God and the community. The former recipients of the award spearhead the event for all the women of Advent and their guests.
