Faith Stories
A Faith Story can be a personal testimony or a declaration of faith. It can be all or part of your life journey, told as a revelation of God's grace and love. It can describe a particular time when God's presence was sensed or experienced in your life. It can be a sharing of meaningful prayer in a time of trial or in everyday life. A Faith Story relates to any time the Holy Spirit moves in ways that affect your life or the lives around you.
Faith stories are told by and for our members in many different ways and venues. Following are some of the venues we have identified:
- Writing down your faith story.
- Reading the faith stories of others in a devotional book or in a collection of stories.
- Sharing your faith story or hearing the faith story of others during worship times, within a small group or at a retreat.
- Attending a potluck gathering and listening to the faith story of a guest speaker.
- Expressing your faith story through music, drama and the arts.
- Learning about and connecting to personal spiritual practices.
- Sharing your faith story while working with the Children's Ministry.
