Teachers and Leaders
Sunday School classes for children are taught by dedicated adults who love our children and desire to help each child develop a strong Christian faith that will carry them through life. In a few classes, small teams of teachers agree to share the teaching responsibility. Mentor teachers provide guidance in lesson plans, teaching techniques and classroom control.
The Youth & Family Minister has a supportive role in all the children's Sunday School activities. Anyone who teaches, leads or otherwise helps in the Sunday School program must complete the Safe Community Training. The opportunity is also available to become a teacher or leader of an adult Sunday School class or an Adult Faith Class held during the week.
For more information about becoming a teacher or leader for the Sunday School program for children or for an Adult Faith Class or Bible Study, please contact the Faith Development chairperson at faith@advent-lutheran.org or call the church office at 408-779-3551.
