Quarterly Mission

Historically, Advent Lutheran Church has sponsored various missions funded by the annual budget. The concept of the Quarterly Mission project was first introduced in 2002 as a way of encouraging members and friends of the Advent Community to get personally involved in supporting variety of special missions or ministries.

Each quarter of every year, the Staff and Church Council vote on a mission or ministry that is considered worthy of the congregation's interest, prayer and financial support. The Quarterly Mission can have local, regional or global focus. That ministry is showcased throughout the quarter with Temple Talks, displays, brochures, announcements and guest speakers. The opportunity to financially support that Quarterly Mission is available throughout the three months and beyond.
