Advent Lutheran Church

Sunday Worship

Sunday worship services are at 8:00 and 10:45 AM

All are invited to participate in the spirited worship services based on the scripture readings and the Christian Church Year. Every Sunday morning worship service includes a celebration of Holy Communion.

We use a liturgical form of worship and music from many periods and cultures of the one church. During each Sunday worship service, we will sing some 'contemporary' music and some 'traditional' music. The church is connected to the people of God, the saints, of every time and every place, and in our worship we join with them in praising God in many ways. A variety of gifted choirs, cantors and instrumentalists provide musical leadership in worship.

Children are welcome and encouraged to be a part of any worship service. We offer childcare for our younger children during the Sunday morning worship and education times. We have two qualified women who serve as our childcare providers. Both are certified through our Safe Community Policy Training Program. Every worship service includes a children's message. Some younger children go to childcare following the children's message. The Puppet Ministry presents the children's message on the first Sunday of the month during the months of September through May.

Prayer Ministers are available in worship every Sunday during Holy Communion to pray with you for any reason.

The Adult Drama Team on a regular basis presents the sermon message.

The Adult Chancel Choir, the Youth Choir or Pacem Children's Choir sing in worship every Sunday.

The sermon art and our beautiful stained glass windows provide a visual point of meditation during our worship times.
